Gold has just hit a new all-time high today of $3,059.77 per oz. Although gold miners and gold royalty companies have been the largest gainers in recent months... all of the big money will be made in gold exploration/development companies. You just need to be careful to avoid a Bre-X or New Found Gold (TSXV: NFG) type of situation.
