Eric Sprott Is Making a Profit of $117 Million on Discovery Silver (TSX: DSV)

Borealis Mining (TSXV: BOGO) Chairman Tony Makuch is also currently the CEO of Discovery Silver (TSX: DSV).

BOGO's second largest shareholder Eric Sprott is also currently the #1 largest shareholder of DSV.

Eric Sprott was previously the Chairman and #1 largest shareholder of Kirkland Lake Gold and recruited Tony Makuch to become CEO of the company.

After BOGO CEO Kelly Malcolm discovered Detour Lake's high-grade 58N gold deposit, Eric Sprott decided that it was time for Kirkland Lake Gold to acquire ownership of Detour Lake, which was already Canada's second largest producing gold mine. He had Tony Makuch negotiate Kirkland Lake Gold's $4.9 billion acquisition of Detour Gold. Two years later, with Kirkland Lake Gold reporting record profits and Sprott's $90 million investment worth $1.1 billion, Tony Makuch negotiated a sale of Kirkland Lake Gold to Agnico Eagle (AEM) for $13.51 billion.

It was quickly decided that Tony Makuch was the most qualified person to run the newly combined AEM. Tony Makuch was appointed CEO of the post-merger AEM but decided to step down as CEO of AEM to continue working with Eric Sprott who had already cashed out of the company with a $1 billion+ profit.

Back on July 1, 2014, NIA suggested Levon Resources at $0.285 per share due to our love of its Cordero bulk tonnage silver project in Mexico.

Levon at $0.285 per share had a market cap of $57 million with $41 million in cash for a low enterprise value of $16 million. At the time, silver was only $20 per oz, and because Cordero has very low silver grades it had a negative Net Present Value (NPV) of (USD$30 million). NIA explained how a 38.35% increase in the price of silver to $27.67 per oz would cause Levon's Cordero NPV to increase from (USD$30 million) up to USD$648.82 million!

Within one week of NIA's July 1, 2014, announcement, Levon had rallied by 71.93% to hit a high of $0.49 per share on record weekly volume of 6.27 million shares!

In April 2015, Levon hit a high of $0.61 per share for a gain of 114.04% from NIA's suggestion price in 9 months!

In July 2015, Levon hit a high of $0.63 per share for a gain of 121.05% from NIA's suggestion price in 12 months!

In August 2016, Levon hit a high of $0.71 per share for a gain of 149.12% from NIA's suggestion price in 25 months!

In August 2019, Levon was acquired by Eric Sprott's Discovery Silver (TSX: DSV) for 0.55 of a DSV share for every Levon share!

Over the following twelve months, silver rallied to $28+ per oz causing Discovery Silver (TSX: DSV)'s Cordero NPV to increase from less than (USD$30 million) up to more than USD$648.82 million! During this twelve-month time period, DSV gained by 610% from $0.40 per share at the time it acquired Levon up to an August 2020 all-time high of $2.84 per share!

In August 2020, DSV at its all-time high of $2.84 per share was worth the equivalent of $1.562 per Levon share for a gain of 448% from NIA's Levon suggestion price of $0.285 per share!

Eric Sprott began accumulating Discovery Silver (TSX: DSV) in July 2019 at $0.22 per share as soon as it was announced that DSV was acquiring our Levon.

Between July 2019 and April 2024, Sprott invested a total of $56.59 million into DSV to accumulate a total of 89.92 million DSV shares at an average price of $0.63 per share.
