Two months ago, President Trump was a guest on Joe Rogan and accurately predicted the current California fire. Trump provided every single detail about what was about to happen. In fact, Trump explained how he would have prevented the current fire if not for Justin Trudeau's brother Gavin Newscum being concerned about tiny little fish.
Here is what Trump said:
Water, you know, in Los Angeles... you can’t get proper amounts of water, right? And it’s unbelievably expensive. You might have a house in Beverly Hills, and they’re actually thinking about rationing water. Can you believe that? I was in the farming country with some of the congressmen, and we were driving up a highway. I said, “How come all this land is so barren? It’s farmland, but it looks terrible. It’s just brown and bad.” I said, “But there’s always that little corner that’s so green and beautiful.” They said, “We have no water.” I asked, “Do you have a drought?” They said, “No, we don’t have a drought.” I said, “Why do you have no water?” They explained that the water isn’t allowed to flow down. There’s a natural water flow from Canada all the way up north, with more water than they could ever use. But to protect a tiny little fish, all that water gets routed into the Pacific Ocean. Millions and millions of gallons are poured into the ocean.
We were driving up, and I’d never seen it before. It’s like Iowa, the most fertile land... blessed with great soil, and Idaho for potatoes, right? But some land is good for potatoes, some for corn... it’s the craziest thing. I love the farmers... they’re the greatest. And by the way, they’re getting killed right now, absolutely killed, because of this stupid administration.
So, I see all this land, and I said, “You’ve got to be kidding. You mean you have no water?” I kept saying, “Look at this land, it’s beautiful, but it’s so dry.” I thought they were going through a desert or a drought, but they said, “No, we have water.” It gets routed. So, I looked into it, and I found out that it’s about the fish. And I got it done. I could’ve had water for all that land... water for the forests too. The forests are dry as a bone... that’s dangerous.
That water could be routed, and not only would it prevent danger, but it would save billions of dollars a year spent on forest fires. There’s a case with the environment... they’re not allowed to rake their forests. You can’t touch it when a tree falls. After 18 months, it becomes very dry... like real firewood. It’s bad. When a tree is standing, it sucks up water and stays wet. I went to California during one of their horrible forest fires, and I said, “You’ve got a lot of trees standing.” They were healthy trees. But with intense heat, you could see they were charred a little on the bottom, but they were going to be okay because they were soaking wet from the water they absorbed. But when they fall, it’s like lighting a match.
You’ve got to be able to clean and maintain your forests. I was with the head of Austria, and he said, “It’s a shame. I see all those forest fires in California, and all they have to do is clean their forests.” That means raking up the leaves, getting rid of dead wood, and clearing fallen trees. There’s so much that could be done. But they don’t want to do it. They say, “It has to be nature,” and all that, but in the meantime, the fires keep happening.
It was the Department of Commerce that needed to approve it, but Gavin Newsom had to sign it. I got it all done. Nobody could believe it. I said, “I got it. You have so much water, all you have to do is sign.” But that guy didn’t want to sign it, did he?
