How the Previous Borealis Mine Owner Went Bankrupt

A few NIA members have asked about how it is possible that Gryphon Gold the previous owner of the Borealis Gold Mine went bankrupt over a decade ago. The bottom line is Isser Elishis is extremely smart, but some may say he is somewhat evil, and the CEO of Gryphon Gold for unknown reasons took toxic financing from him meant to destroy the company so that Waterton would end up owning the mine. There is a documentary about what happened called 'Dark Pond of Money'. Rob McEwen, who is an amazing person, is the largest shareholder of Borealis Mining (TSXV: BOGO) and Waterton is gone.
