Gold is up by $12.905 this morning to a new all-time high of $2,806.37 per oz.
Augusta Gold (TSX: G) gained by 11.82% yesterday to $1.23 per share and will hit much higher new 52-week highs of well above $1.49 per share very quickly.
We don't want to predict an exact date or price of a buyout, but we are 100% sure AngloGold Ashanti (AU) will end up owning Augusta Gold (TSX: G) before year-end. The higher gold rises the more eager AU will be to finalize a deal quickly.
With 85.93 million shares outstanding it has a market cap of CAD$105.69 million or USD$72.87 million.
AngloGold Ashanti (AU) has already acquired Corvus Gold for the North Bullfrog Gold Project for US$450 million in cash directly adjacent to Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s past producing Bullfrog Gold Project.
AngloGold Ashanti (AU) has already acquired the Sterling Gold Project from Coeur Mining for US$150 million in cash directly adjacent to Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s fully permitted Reward Gold Project.
Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s Reward Gold Project is the smaller gold project of the two and it has an after-tax Net Present Value at US$2,600 per oz of US$163.5 million. At $2,800 per oz, the Reward Gold Project has an estimated after-tax Net Present Value of US$236.7 million.
Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s Bullfrog Gold Project is located a few miles away from its Reward Gold Project and contains a 2.81x larger gold resource!
Best case scenario, the Bullfrog Gold Project is worth US$665.13 million if we multiply US$236.7 million by 2.81, but we don't think it is worth that yet... because it would value the whole company at US$901.827 million or 12.38x Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s market cap.
As of right now, we believe Augusta Gold (TSX: G) would be acquired for US$600 million which would be equal to what AngloGold Ashanti (AU) already paid for North Bullfrog + Sterling.
Even if Augusta Gold (TSX: G) accepts less than that... the stock is definitely going A LOT higher and will likely become the market's #1 largest overall percentage gainer of the month of February!
