Gold is up by $11.91 today to $2,643.80 per oz.

In our opinion, there is absolutely no question that Augusta Gold (TSX: G) will be acquired for $3+ per share within weeks most likely by AngloGold Ashanti (AU) but in the unlikely event another company outbids AU it would most likely be Centerra Gold (TSX: CG) or Orla Mining (TSX: OLA).

Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s financings were done at $1.71 and $2.25 per share. Even Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s management/board paid $1.20 per share for their initial stake four years ago and added significantly to their position last year at $1.33 per share.

AU spent a total of US$600 million to acquire ownership of the North Bullfrog Gold Project (by acquiring Corvus Gold) adjacent to Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s Bullfrog Gold Project and the Sterling Gold Project (acquired from Coeur Mining) adjacent to Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s Reward Gold Project.

AU's North Bullfrog gold reserve of 1 million oz plus its Sterling inferred gold resource of 850,000 oz equals 1,850,000 oz of gold.

Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s market cap is less than US$64 million.

Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s Reward gold reserve of 370,000 oz plus its Bullfrog measured & indicated gold resource of 1,209,290 oz and its Bullfrog inferred gold resource of 257,900 oz equals 1,837,190 oz of gold.

AU generated free cash flow of US$347 million last quarter alone. This will be a small acquisition for them using their pocket change.

Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s management/board has successfully achieved $4.5 billion in exits over the last 12 years. Augusta Gold (TSX: G) is their next imminent exit, but it won't be their last.
