Fergus McCann the Scottish Canadian businessman and entrepreneur who was responsible for turning Celtic plc (LSE: CCP) into one of the most successful sports franchises in world history with Celtic winning the Scottish Premiership for 12 of the last 13 seasons... cashed out of his Celtic shares back in 1999 at £2.80 per share! At the time, Celtic had 47.5 million shares outstanding for a market cap at £2.80 per share of £133 million. Celtic generated revenue of £33.84 million in 1999. Fergus McCann cashed out at a multiple of 3.93X revenue!

In fiscal year 2024 ending June 30th, Celtic generated revenue of £124.6 million and finished the year with a massive net cash position of £77.2 million!

Today, a multiple of 3.93X revenue of £124.6 million plus £77.2 million in net cash would value Celtic at £566.878 million or £5.98 per share!

Celtic also trades on the U.S. OTC under the symbol CLTFF where somebody is also slowly accumulating.

CLTFF closed today at $2.05 per share and based on where Fergus McCann cashed out in 1999, CLTFF should today be trading for $7.62 per share!
