Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s dip today to $1.19 per share will not last.
When Augusta Gold (TSX: G) was initially formed four years ago, management paid $1.20 per share in cash for their initial stake in the company... and there was no Beatty Gold District back then.
All Augusta Gold (TSX: G) owned was its past producing Bullfrog Gold Project as a standalone gold project. Augusta Gold (TSX: G) didn't own its fully permitted Reward Gold Project located a few miles away.
AngloGold Ashanti (AU) has spent a total of US$600 million (at much lower gold prices) to acquire the North Bullfrog Gold Project directly adjacent to Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s Bullfrog Gold Project and the Sterling Gold Project directly adjacent to Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s Reward Gold Project.
In addition, AU made Nevada's largest gold discovery in 15 years at Silicon+Merlin thereby turning Beatty into a 19.5 million oz gold district making it America's last remaining undeveloped Tier 1 gold district.
Augusta Gold (TSX: G) is currently being sold to the highest bidder and its office is closing on January 1st.
Augusta Gold (TSX: G)'s oxide gold resources are about equal in size to the oxide gold resources that AU paid US$600 million for when it acquired North Bullfrog and Sterling.
Augusta Gold (TSX: G) Executive Chairman Richard Warke added massively to his G position at $1.33 per share last year. Most Augusta Gold (TSX: G) shareholders paid between $1.71 and $2.25 per share for their positions, which is where the company did its financings.
Augusta Gold (TSX: G) is likely to be acquired next month for a minimum of $3 per share but possibly as high as $6 per share.
