20% of Celtic Shares are Lost Forever

About 20% of Celtic plc (LSE: CCP) or CLTFF shares outstanding are lost forever, and the Registrar has no idea who owns them. Some of these shares were issued over 100 years ago when Celtic was a private company and they remain outstanding, but nobody has claimed ownership of them. Celtic is in stronger financial condition today than ever before in history.

The only information that is official from the company is that earnings for the year ending June 30th will be significantly higher than expected when released in mid-September.

Any reports of offers being made for players are unconfirmed by the company and we will only receive official confirmation when a deal is signed off on. The transfer window closes on August 30th.
